SNAP ID
I have received the SNAP ID & Password, what can I use it for?

You can use the SNAP ID /email and password to fill in the SNAP application form, view / print the admit card, check MyMail, Modify Personal details. If you apply to institutes which take SNAP scores, you should use your SNAP ID.

My SNAP ID is 999999. Please send the password to this mail id immediately.

You will receive an email within 24 hours of registration. If you do not, please email admsiisons @siom.in.

Technical Problems

I could not register online for SIOM, since the following error message appeared - "Java Script Error".   

Please use Internet Explorer Ver 6.0 or above. Please note that the browsers like Mozilla firefox, Google chrome etc., will support the application.

I could not register online for SIOM, as i am not able to proceed after "I agree" in the terms and conditions page..

Application Form Details

My current address is valid only till October end. Is it possible for me to update and make a change in the address in early November?   

     Yes, you can modify any set of personal details. You can do this after you have received your SNAP ID /email and password.
Post Registration

I have registered online and sent the DD/Bank counterfoil. What is the next step?

Congratulations on completing the first step to qualify for SNAP. You must have received an email with your SNAP ID and password.

I registered online, but sent my DD without mentioning the SNAP ID. What do I do now?

Please send an email to admissions@siom.in providing the DD number, bank on which it was drawn, your name, date of birth, phone number and email id. Mention "sent payment without SNAP ID " in the subject line.

I filled up the form online and have taken the DD also. I do not have access to a printer to print the payment advice form. What do I do?

You need to fill in your details with your SNAP ID on a plain white sheet and send the DD along with it.

What is the application process for admission?

What is procedure for the admission for international students?

It is learnt that SIOM prefers students with work experience only. Is it true?   

No, candidates are assessed on various parameters at number of stages.

Do the companies come to the campus for the placement?

Yes. The companies come to the campus for placement.

Is it a fully residential course?

Yes it is two year full time residential.


Is it necessary to send the hard copy of the online filled form?   

Yes. Student’s selection to the process of admission would be subject to the receipt of the hard copy of the filled in admission form.

Who can take this course?

Engineering graduates from any recognized University with a minimum of 50% aggregate. Final year students can apply, subject to their fulfilling the educational eligibility latest by September 2011 and producing proof thereof

When will the course commence?

The course will commence from June 06, 2011

What is the selection Procedure? Is it depending on SNAP results GE/PI or UG semester marks?

SNAP exam is mandatory to apply for MBA. No other exam will be considered.

Does the fee include fee required for APICS, Six Sigma and SAP?   

APICS fees are not included as this exam is optional.  Six Sigma and SAP-ERP courses training fee is included.

Is it compulsory to send the hard copy of the online filled form?

Yes. Unless and until the admissions department receives the hard copy with photograph your application will not be processed. Institute shall not be responsible for any further queries due to non-receipt of the hard copy of the application form.

Is there any cut off for SNAP score?

No. SNAP score is just one of the parameters for GEPI short listing


What are the parameters used in the selection process?   

SIOM’ s admission process targets at selecting engineering graduates who are  confident, are focused on operations management careers, have good verbal and  written communication skills, have good academic performance and along with  some relevant work experience and are good team players.

The assessment centre of SIOM admission will give weight ages to such parameters at different stages in the selection process.
